In October of 2023, I Build Giants saw Jacob Reese’s directorial debut with Red Hill Theatre Group.
Ryan Steven’s political drama via a story of giant robots, war and late-stage capitalism was performed in Shepherdstown, WV and Frederick, MD.

In January 2024, four years from our inaugural production, Red Hill Theatre Group presented a new work by Cody James: I Was Made for Less.
Artistic Director Cody James’ second full-length play saw a expressionist court room type interrogation of a the memories of a young queer individual growing up in Appalachia.

Fat Unicorn Cake

In a change of tone and pace, April 2024 saw the production of Fat Unicorn Cake, an award-winning one act from Irish playwright Remee Cunningham, former playwrighting classmate of artistic director Cody James.
Fat Unicorn Cake broke open the facade of social media, influencers and the hidden struggles we all face in life through three clashing monologues.
This was also Red Hill Theatre Groups last performance in Shepherdstown, WV to date.

Of Shapes Invisible
In Red Hill’s first fully devised piece, The Tempest is reimagined as a deep look into generational divides, inherited drama and who truly holds the power amongst amalgams of Shakespeare’s classic characters.
Of Shapes Invisible also marks Red Hill’s official move to Frederick, MD and associate artistic director Amanda Thomas’ directorial debut.
